The UAE government has always supported and fostered initiatives that offer its residents comfort and convenience. This time around, it is technology related. Various government and public authorities have launched applications and smart services that offer efficiency, ease, convenience and allow residents to save their time.
Here’s a look at a few smart apps that have or will – in time – make life easier.
mPay: A smartphone application that allows residents to pay most of their utility, Etisalat bills, SALIK and NOL recharges and traffic fines conveniently. One can register his mPay account in 3 easy steps: complete their personal details followed by payment details and then activation.
RTA: Mobile interactive application for Dubai residents which features a list of services designed to support roads and public transport users.
DHA: Dubai Healthy Authority’s smartphone app provides patients access to their health profiles, health packages, search facilities, professionals and a list of DHA facilities such as maps, directions, doctors, news, events, feedback and emergency numbers.
ADFCA: An Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority initiative whereby users can report incidents and submit real-time images and complaints regarding food hygiene in the emirate. The Food Safety Guard feature in the app will automatically create a case for the incident and assign it to the concerned department for resolution.
